GOP Congressional Candidate, State Senator Neal Tapio of Watertown today turned in the bulk of gathered nominating petition signatures at the Secretary of State’s Office in Pierre.
“Today, I turned in 2,521 signatures to the South Dakota Secretary of State in order to be on the ballot for the US House of Representatives.
Thank you to all those that signed, and to the many amazing volunteers who believed in me enough to spend their nights and weekends collecting signatures. I am humbled by your support.
We share a common desire to turn back to those values that made America great-faith, family, freedom and free enterprise. While we know there are great obstacles ahead for our nation, it is important to have the courage to take tough issues head on.
Through Him, everything is possible.”
Tapio says there are still about 500-600 signatures outstanding from volunteers across the state which he expects to turn in Monday as the 2018 legislative session comes to a close.
